Stories Set in Familiar Places.

This week we have been learning about stories set in familar places. We have been looking, in particular, at a story called 'One Sweet Too Far', which is set in a school.



Your task this week is to think back to a memorable day that you have experienced at school, and turn it into a story. Remember, this is NOT a diary entry so you must write in the past tense and the third person.

Please have a look at the Spellings and Mathletics pages for the rest of your homework. You should also continue to practise all the timestables and read for 15 minutes every day.

    One day I was getting ready for school. I was just getting my school stuff. AFTER 15 MINS. I was at school but there was no one there. So I went inside I sat still. AFTER 10 HOURS. I was still waiting so I practic my time tables. 1 times ...... There was a shadow . A man Stoud who are you I mumbled. The man took his hands out and there was a suit case. He opened it there was a note it said. Next time don't come to school on a Sunday . THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Check through this again, Blakeney. You are missing lots of punctuation and some of it doesn't make sense. You could make it even better by including more detail as well.

    Once upon a time in school me (I),Omar and Aditya were playing on the field,we were making a math club in our class. Omar and Aditya suggested we should have levels but I suggested just do our maths properly so then we got into an argument...
    Later we found each other and said "sorry" and then we all suggested the same thing.

    One day i was going to swiming with allmy friends i was so excited and i couldnt wait to see;When i get off the bus i went to get changed and then there was a teacher that was tecaching us how to swim it was soo nice.First i got very sceard and then my friedns were helping me it was soo good we were swimimg and having fun all together.When we got back to the bus i was tired but it was the best day of my life and i wanna to do it again when i went home i told my mum and dad about it and they were were soo happy that i could swim.The End

    One I day got in a fight on the way to school so I quickly got on the bus.Once I had finally got to school I was worried because I bought something that I was not aloud it was a packet of chocolate.I didn't care I just wanted to taste a tasty chocolate so I ran into the playground and I opened my packet of chocolate and popped it into my mouth suddenly I heard a noise it was chase logan my worst enemy ''give me one you rascal''.''no''. I pulled my old piece of bubble gum once he popped it in his mouth a teacher saw him chewing he got told off straight away I found it funny because he got me in trouble for many years.

    One day boy called Dawid came to school. It was very cold and rainy day. Normally he could go outside with his friends on lunch break but this day he had to stay in the classroom because it was wet play. Dawid was drawing some pictures and other children were playing games, drawing and chatting.

    Two months back, me, Aditya and Sheyan were playing in school. My Mom said that both Aditya and Sheyan are leaving the school. At first, i did'nt believe her. Later, I asked Aditya about it. He said 'yes' and I was shocked. The same was with Sheyan. I was so sad, that everyday my Mom arranged a play date with them, until they both left. I will never forget that day!

    One day a boy caled Giacomo was learning Hokey in his P.E. lesson. He was very exsited and eager to play. He had to toss the ball through the cones and hit back. He had lot of fun with his friends and couldn' wait to play again!

    It was a Thursday morning and I felt like taking some candy to school .
    Me and mum were going to school.

    9:55am
    "Oh,mum that's the school bell I went up to Omar and said "I have candy in my pocket" "give me some at playtime" I said "okay then deal"
    playtime I made my way to the end of the playground Omar came and asked me
    "How much will you give me" "not sure"
    "Oh,almost forgot ICE to keep you cool"
    I ran into the staff room got ICE got it ran back to the old bike sheds
    me and Omar fell asleep for 15mins
    Omar said "now can we have candy" "okay" I replied I put my hand in my pocket and in 1second. "Not in here".
    Then me and Omar shouted "nooooooooooooooooooo"

    At school on Friday a couple of months ago Daniels tooth came out. He was standing in line to go to lunch and was wobbling his bottom front tooth. It had been wobbly for a couple of weeks, and was really hoping it was going to come out.
    He asked his friend George if it was bleeding, George said it was. He went to Medical and they put a tissue on it. Daniel tried to pull it out but it wouldn’t come out, as it hurt too much.
    He went back to the line and carried on wiggling it, it started bleeding even more than before, so he went back to medical. He put another tissue on it and then pulled it out.
    That evening Daniel put his tooth under his pillow and he got a £5.00 note from the tooth fairy. This is the most he had ever received from the tooth fairy, as usually it was only £1.00 or £2.00, so he was very happy.

      One day in year two when it was our Christmas play Mrs Fenn Smith said to us a special visitor is coming to see us perform. It was Miss Rollins. I was so shocked that I didn't believe her. Then as we walked in, at the back of the hall was Miss Rollins. I could not believe my eyes!!! At the end of the play she helped us get changed. We all said we miss you and she said she missed us too! THE END!!!

    Once upon a time in year 2 Mrs Fenn Smith said we were doing a play. She said that there would be a special visitor coming to see the play. Everyone was wondering who it was. Half way though the play I heard someone say "here's where the play is, would you like too see it." " Yes I would" and the visitor was Miss Rollins, our year 1 teacher. After the play the class spoke to miss Rollins, she said that she missed us all I said that we missed her too.

      I prefer to live in the bronze age because it is in the middle of the stone age and the iron age. It is not so poor like Stone age or too violent like the Iron age. The metal used most in this period was bronze, which is a mixture of 90% copper and 10% tin. This metal is a beautiful colour and star of the week badges are bronze, so there would have been lots of pretty things to see in the bronze age.

    One day Hady ,David and Omar were playing it the person. This is how you play,you have to throw a hat at a person and the person has to run to another bench because there are two benches. David started with the hat. Hady and Omar quickly ran to the other bench. Then David throw the hat at Omar and he was IT. The other two boys ran to the other bench. Omar then told them that we are going in for lunch. After lunch all the 3 boys played IT until the end of lunch-break.

    On friday, the teacher seperated the children of the class into 3 groups and there was a girl named selien in group 2.It was her turn to have a cooking session with mrs. ins.
    They were going to make chocolate chips and raisin chips. They started by mixing 1kg of sugar with 1.5kg flour, then she added the eggs and she started stirring as hard as she can until having a soft dough. After that, she cutted the dough into small pieces of heart shape then the teacher putted the plaite in the oven for 15 min till it turned into gold color.
    selien's chips melted all together and everyone started laughing. Mrs. ins outlined the chips with a knife then the teacher wrapped a chips from each group in a pack, and every child in the class had a pack and we saved a pack for miss tracey.
    at 3 o'clock the cooking session was finished and we went back to the class.

    Once there was a boy called Blakeney he was very excited about it being Victorian Day at school because he wanted to find out what really happended in the Victorian Days. He knew that there was a special Victorian teacher coming to his school. Blakeney wrote with his left hand on a piece of paper and the Victorian teacher told him off and said only write with your right hand and in the end he didn't really like it and started to cry. Everyone was told that children should be seen and not heard. Blakeney was pleased that he didn't live in the Victorian days.

    one Friday gurpersaad ,hady and omar where playing a game called bull dog. bull dog was our best game ever! omar liked being in the middle of the aria being bull dog. gurpersaad and hady we darted acros the court like a base ball being hit in to the air. gurpersaad was caut on the final round, but he was very close to the
    line and also to winning the prize. all the players where lefe behind. suddenly there was aloud nois that said gurpersaad wins all of the people were chearing with joy.

      Peaceful settlement?
      Some Anglo-Saxons came to Britain to fight, but others came peacefully, to find land to farm. The Anglo-Saxons knew Britain was a rich land. Their own lands often flooded, making it difficult to grow enough food. There was not enough land for everyone.

    One day when Zara was in Year Two, a girl named Lily who was in Reception class brought in her twelve guinea pigs for show and tell. The guinea pigs ran away and Zara and her classsmates tried to catch them. Zara caught two and Denislav caught the other ten. Lily was very grateful for their help. She then took the guinea pigs back to her classroom.
