  10. I like Theseus and the Minotaur because it is a bit scary. The Minotaur was half man half bull. The bull's eyes are like flaming fire, he had horns like sharp knives, fur like a gorilla's and spit dripping out from his mouth. The story is all about a boy who wants to see his dad the king but his mother said that he needs to move a heavy stone and one day he does and he sees him. Then he sails to the bad king. First he fights the white bull, then he gets sent to fight the BIG SCARY MINOTAUR and he survived.

  12. I like the story of Dionysus and Ariadne. Dionysus was a God who was a shape shifter. One day, when Dionysus was in the form of a rich handsome man, he was spotted by some pirates.

Dionysus was carried to the pirate ship and tied to the mast. He used his magic powers to free himself. One pirate saw that Dionysus was no longer tied to the ropes. The pirates tied him again, tighter, but he escaped again. He turned into a lion, roared and sprang onto them. Everyone jumped off the board into the sea, except the pirate who had spotted him. He took Dionysus to an island.

On the island, Dionysus saw Ariadne who was abandoned by Theseus. Dionysus found her very beautiful and wanted to marry her. Ariadne consented to marry the wealthy Dionysus.

Most of the God marriages were disasters. Believe it or not, they lived happily ever after.

  13. My favourite Greek myth is Dionysus and Ariadne. I liked it because Dionysus could turn into just about anything, from a fierce animal to a handsome looking man.
He used his abilities wisely to help him get out of trouble.
He was tough and fierce, but also kind. He fell in love with Ariadne and they lived happily ever after.

  17. I like Theseus and the Minotaur the best because there is a big maze where a brave knight dares to go and kill an evil Minotaur that is half man and half bull. His father told him he must change his flags from black to white after he kills the Minotaur. A girl wanted to help him and said hold this ball of string and you won't get lost so he did and killed the Minotaur then he sailed back home. He treated the girl badly because he left her on the island and the gods didn't like it so he forgot to change the flags from black to white and his father jumped into the sea.

  20. zeus and kronos

Kronos was the king of the Titans. He was very afraid that one of his children
would kill him just as he had murdered his own father. He was so worried he started to eat his own children after they were born, much to his wife Rhea's horror!

After the birth of their sixth child, Zeus, Rhea played a trick on Kronos. She gave him a stone to swallow instead of the baby. She hid Zeus in a cave and the young god was brought up by a goat.

When Zeus was older he asked to become Kronos' cup-bearer. He put a special potion in his father's wine that caused Kronos to vomit up his children. He also vomited up the stone which he was tricked into swallowing. Then Zeus led his brothers and sisters into battle against Kronos and the Titans. Zeus and his brothers and sisters won the battle and Zeus became the king of the gods.

  21. Zeus was the king of the gods. He could control the weather. The ancient Greek poet, Hesiod, called him the 'cloud-gatherer' and the 'thunderer'. His most powerful weapon was the thunderbolt. The ancient Greeks believed that when lightning struck earth, it was a sign of Zeus being present.

Zeus was also concerned with hospitality. If you treated a guest or stranger badly you could outrage Zeus.
